Indoor Cycling Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to bring my own bike?

Yes.  You will take off your rear wheel and attach it to a Wahoo KICKR Core Indoor Trainer.  This simple video will show you how it is done. If you have questions when arriving to class, our staff will be happy to help you out.

What kind of bike should I bring?

You can bring any type of bike. Road, mountain, hybrid. The Wahoo KICKR Core works with the following bike specs:
Hub Types– 130/135 Quick Release, 12 x 142 / 12 x 148 thru-axle
Rear Wheel Size– 24″, 26″, 27.5″ / 650b, 29″

Do I need special gearing on my bike?

Any bike that fits the specs above and has Shimano 9/10/11 speed gearing will work with our cassettes.

What time should I arrive to class?

Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class starting so you have time to check-in and set up your bike.

Do I have to be a competitive athlete to attend class?

No. Our classes are set up in such a way that cyclists and fitness enthusiasts of any level can attend any class. The intensity is set based on your individual fitness level, so all are encouraged to attend.

Can I use my power meter or heart rate monitor during class?

You can use your power meter or heart-rate monitor during class. We can sync your wearable device or power meter to our system to display your individual performance metrics in parallel with your additional on-screen information. Note that some models of Polar and Suunto heart rate monitors or wearables (watches, mostly) can have difficulty due to their communication protocol. Most devices that work with Bluetooth 4.0 or ANT+ should be fine.
