The Pilates Method is a conditioning program that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination and strength. The basic principle of Pilates is to find and use the deep stabilizer muscles that are often overlooked and under-utilized in other forms of strengthening. Through Pilates, you can become more aware of your body’s posture and alignment. Each exercise is designed to open up joints, release tension, stretch and strengthen the involved muscles. This method allows exercises to be tailored to all levels, from beginner to high level athletes.
