Boulder Cycling Science Camp

Cycling Science Camp Information

Our singular mission is to take the services that help ProTour riders perform their best and offer them to everyday riders. Whether you are racing a full calendar or just looking to ride your best at the next group ride or granfondo, the staff at CU sports will help you get the most of your training and bike.

And we want this to be the full pros experience for you, so we’re organizing it exactly the way we’d organize a camp or race travel for a pro team — we’ll live together, eat together, and ride together.

Housing*
Housing will be provided in Boulder, right in the heart of all the action. Exact location and price will depend on the number of riders attending. Provided we meet our minimum numbers, approximate cost should be $150-200 total per person for three nights.

Food*
Every rider is welcome to handle their own food, but once we finalize numbers, we will work with the CUSMPC Sports Nutritionist to create a meal-plan for the camp and handle the grocery shopping ahead of time (just like what teams do) Cost of groceries will be split between riders who participate in the meal-plan.

Travel*
Each rider is responsible for their own travel but we will recommend flights and provide instructions for getting to the house and Center.

* Note: housing, food, and travel are not included in the base camp price

Glycogen is the storage form of Carbohydrate, and this non-invasive method was developed by Dr. San Millan and Dr. John Hill for quick and easy assessments of glycogen stores. Now athletes can visit the center to accurately determine how much gas is in the tank. We offer single tests and serial testing to quantify changes in storage over time and in response to various training and nutritional interventions!
